What inspired you to start your business?
Metova Talent was born from a deep desire to bridge the gap between exceptional Latin American talent and global opportunities. After years of experience in recruiting for highly specialized roles across industries such as technology, manufacturing, agriculture, and supply chain, I — Miriam Sánchez — saw firsthand the immense value and potential that professionals from our region could bring to international companies. Metova Talent was founded to create a people-first, ethical, and agile recruiting firm that not only delivers results for clients but also uplifts and empowers professionals to grow their careers globally. The inspiration came from a belief that talent knows no borders ,and that with the right guidance and connections, we can unlock opportunities that benefit both companies and individuals in meaningful, lasting ways.
What challenges have you faced as a woman in business?
As a woman in business, especially in industries that are often male-dominated like technology and manufacturing, I’ve faced challenges in being taken seriously at the beginning, needing to constantly prove my expertise and leadership capabilities. There have been times when my ideas were overlooked until echoed by others, or when I had to work twice as hard to earn the same level of respect.
What’s the best business advice you’ve ever received?
Think things through carefully before taking action, and always look for solutions rather than focusing on problems.
What lesson have you learned that you can share with other women entrepreneurs?
Love what you do and never give up.
In what ways has your membership in WPO impacted your personal or professional life?
I have strong support from my WPO sisters in Mexico, both professionally and personally. We share similar challenges, and being part of this group has helped me gain perspective make better decisions and support as a strong leaderl
What are your goals and aspirations moving forward?
Within WPO, I want to keep learning from other inspiring women and strengthening our network. Professionally, I aim to grow Metova Talent globally. Personally, I seek more balance and time with my family while continuing to lead with purpose.
