They encouraged attendees to leverage technology for early health screening, explore options for long-term care, and to seek professional advice to help make informed decisions that can create a secure, financially sound, and healthy retirement.
Some key takeaways from the discussion include:
- Think of and prepare for longevity as well as quality of life. We do not just want to live long, but to live well in our long years. Consider some of the exciting new technologies out there that really help with early detection and prevention and potentially improve the quality of our health in retirement.
- Since Healthcare is the single biggest financial concern, the most important strategy is to have a plan. Consider collaborating with a financial planner or DIY your plan, but make sure that you have one.
- Begin exploring options and resources for aging in place or transitioning to other living arrangements, and long-term care well before they are needed. Involve your loved ones and regularly review and update plans to ensure they align with your evolving circumstances and preferences.
